About Me.

While I've always liked to write, I have

never thought of myself as a writer

until recently.

Writing was seen as something exclusive

to the classroom, the occasional journal

entry or the daily to-do list. Now, writing

has transcended a necessity or mere

hobby, and has latched itself onto my identity. How this happened I'm not exactly sure, though I know that it would feel wrong to negate the impact writing has had on my life. I also know that with each time I write, piece by

piece I find further clarity into who I am as a writer, a student and a person.

So who am I?

My name is Lindsay Hiser, and I am an undergraduate student living and thriving in the town of Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a junior at the University of Michigan, I am pursuing a double major in Communication Studies and Organizational Studies with a minor in Writing.

Other things about me?

  • I am never without a bar of dark chocolate in my bag.

  • I find challenge and freedom through running and yoga.

  • If I could hold any job, I would become a consultant in designing (and enjoying) aesthetically pleasing coffee shops.

  • I have an odd passion for collecting stationary and notebooks, some of which I still have not used.

  • I'd eat brunch foods for all meals of the day (see picture above).

  • I am a passionate seeker of the "beautiful experiences" of life that make each and every day memorable.

As of January 2017, I will be traveling overseas to study a semester abroad in Copenhagen and embrace all things hygge (perhaps to become my life's one true calling, stay tuned).

"The more I write, the more confident I become in my own identity and the power I have to express myself in the world."

-"Why I Write," Minor in Writing

Here I am, full of the joy and serenity that only quality brunch can provide.
